Television and Voiceover

Nicki is a TV presenter, live events host and YouTuber, regularly seen on screens as the face of BBC’s FIA Formula E Championship, the electric street racing series. She is also the anchor for Supercharged on CNN, a technology and motor show CNN’s Going Green, the channel’s flagship environment programme, and is a presenter for the GQ Drive Time in association with Michelin series. She is regularly seen across broadcast channels including ITV, BBC, Channel 5 and Sky Sports and was the first female member of the media to drive the Formula E race car.

She regularly presents other automotive shows including ITV’s ‘Goodwood Festival of Speed’ show, ITV’s ‘Goodwood Revival’ show with Dario Franchitti, ITVs ‘Cars of the Future’, Sky Sports F1’s ‘Formula Kart Stars’, Blancpain GT Endurance Series for Motors TV and Silverstone Classic for ITV4. Nicki previously hosted episodes of BBC1’s ever-popular series ‘Escape to the Country’ in 2014.

She also launched a YouTube page in 2017 and has created a series ‘Shields Drives’ for her channel. As part of this new endeavour she proudly earned her International Category B racing driver license and raced against Roborace; the autonomous race car – and won! Nicki has voiced various different TV shows and corporate videos and is available as a voiceover artist.

Live Events

Nicki is also a seasoned live events and corporate host, having taken to the microphone for a multitude of big brands and events.

She has hosted and presented at events including the GQ Car Awards, CarFest for BBC Children in Need with Chris Evans, The Gadget Show Live, New Scientist Live, the FIA Sports Conference and Ignition Festival and has hosted corporate events for brands including Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Shell, Pirelli, RBS, Visa, Intel and LG.

Science and Travel

As well as being a petrol head, Nicki is proud to be a Science Communicator. Just as at home in the lab fueling her curiosity as she is chucking a rucksack on her back and climbing up Kilimanjaro, Nicki is an all rounder who loves a challenge and holds a degree in Biological and Zoological Sciences.

Nicki has investigated a number of environmental issues including farming, GM crops sustainability, electric cars, global warming and has met with many top scientists and MPs along the way whilst working as a daily online reporter for the month long science expedition to the South Pole, ‘Willis Resilience’.

Nicki has filmed at ZSL London Zoo, The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Paradise Wildlife Park. So, from rhinos to lemurs, she is a natural at engaging with nature and wildlife. Also keen to pass on her knowledge, she’ has worked as a volunteer teacher for various charities, teaching children science from inner city schools in London and has taught at Agape Orphanage in Durban, South Africa.

She loves exploring new cultures and has had amazing adventures, from living with the Kuna Yala tribe off the coast of Panama to diving with Great White Sharks (she holds a PADI Advanced Level diving license).
